Hagenbach & Bender GmbH - Literary Agency - represents international publishing clients as their German agency and through a network of co-agencies their world rights are represented as well. The agency also represents the world rights for German and selected international authors.
For writers
Please submit your project via email. You may use the email form provided pushing the "contact" button on this website. Note that we accept proposals preferably from German language writers. Give us a short description of your project and attach a 1 to 2 page synopsis, a short biography of 5 to 8 lines and the opening pages (10 to 20) - including the table of contents when you are presenting a non-fiction project. We will respond by e-mail or phone within one week.
The agency does not charge any "service fee" like reading or report fees. If we sell your project to a publishing house the agency receives a 15% commission on domestic sales and shares a 20% commission with co-agents for foreign rights sales.
